How can this small backyard have so many spots to hang out? Design, Design, Design . . . we talk about ‘Flow in Your Space’ repeatedly – here is the ideal example. By creating elevation changes, seat walls throughout, with favorite features – the outdoor space looks twice as big. You can imagine a party of many enjoying the different destinations.
The tranquility of the living area with fireplace has drawing-power. While the multi-colored Adirondack chairs seem fun & inviting . . I want one of the spicy margaritas please! Also, tucked in the corner, a settee with foot-rest becomes another conversation area. Both are close to the dining table. In your mind’s eye you can see laughter at taco-time with all guests interacting. Close by, a cushioned seat wall has a private spot for two… all while part of the group. Take a peek under the red umbrella – “salud” via Hornitos – another privacy spot for chit-chat & memories. Need a quick nap? Grab the lounger for some shut eye.
The plantings and concrete work well together. The atmosphere of peace is compelling. And this small square backyard appears soothing and spacious.
